Kingfisher workshop 1-2-1 dates Dec  1st 2nd 3rd 17th 18th 28th 29th & 30th  over the winter period we will meet at 07:30am at given location and we should be finished by 15:30am 


This is a unique opportunity to photograph one of the UKs best loved and most colourful of birds up close with purpose built changeable perches to suit each photographers liking and only 10-12 foot in front of the hide, the hide is built within the banking and hided within the reed bed, the location of the hide gives you a nice open and clean image of the Kingfishers with a very high hit rate and up to 6 different individual birds showing in most days, lenses of 300-400mm max and a bean bag (bean bags can be supplied on the day) you will also get a chance to photographing the resident Water rails out in the open lately they have been visit the hide area 2 to 3 times each day, this hide and workshop is designed for 1-2-1s here we will look at camera settings for the day ie exposure, aperture, WB, ISO, shutter speed, and exposure compensation ,the location is in the Dumfries area and a meeting place will be given at point of booking you will need on the day warm clothing wellingtons, bean bag, shutter remote, your own food and drink and plenty of SD / CF cards and batteries, each workshop will be dated at best tide times the Kingfisher workshops at the hide are exclusive to Dean Bricknell
